What is white balance?
White balance is a camera setting that can adjust the colour of the picture being more 'cold' or more 'hot', different settings are used as auto colour casts a photo when you don't want it to and may even fail to correct certain typed of lighting, thus manually choosing which white balance to use is the right option saving time and capturing a decent photo.
The more 'colder' it is, the more red it'll be, however the more 'hot' it is, the more blue it'll be, this is used if the lighting is different so it can look more professional and more pleasing.
