What is Shutter speed?
Shutter speed is an amount of speed that is given to how fast it'll take the picture, this is used if the object that you want to take the picture of is too fast and would be blurry if it was taken with a slow shutter speed.
Shutter speed is taken in seconds.
The faster the shutter speed is, the less blurry the picture will be and is taken almost instantly.
However, the slower the shutter speed is, the slower it'll take the picture and the picture will be more likely to be blurry
So if you want to take a picture of a waterfall, what shutter speed would you use, fast or slow? Well if it's slow, then the waterfall in the picture won't look that good and may be blurry, so you want the setting on a fast shutter speed as it'll take the picture instantly and won't be blurred out then.
Here is a diagram explaining what shutter speed is:

Here are my examples of a fast shutter speed on the camera using the fastest setting that is available to me (1/4000):
By using a fast shutter speed, I have captured my model running clearly.
